Our fundraising heroes
-
Chloe North
Organised an incredible Family Fun Evening. An amazing evening of music, food and entertainment was had by 200 attendees. Chloe organised this even for Cameron’s Companions in memory of a dear friend who lost their life to suicide.
-
Paul Callingham
Walked Three High Passes and Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas, reaching over 17,598 Ft (5,300 M). He and his friends walked 168 miles (311,013 steps!), climbed, and descended 26,296 feet (8,015m) over a period of 16 days. Paul was hugely motivated to support Cameron’s Companions having lost a nephew, friends, and colleagues to suicide.

Hilton & Friends Cycle Group
Paul Blackmore, Celia Geyer, Gordon Coles, Mike Collini, Andrew Moore, Borik Vokrinek, Jura Lubojacky, Carl Ridgley, Thibald Gerardin, Nick Balderson, Rudi Steyn, Phillipa Le Roux, Marek Sulg ,Martin Mangan, Paul Thornton, Keith Walls, Maurice Petignat, Gerd Fisher cycled 600km in 4 days from Toulouse to Girona in Spain, riding greater than the height of Mount Everest with a cumulative altitude of 9,000 metres as they traversed the Pyrenees. The team were motivated to support Cameron's Companions as many have been impacted directly by the effects of mental health issues. There was also a strong feeling amongst the group that the next generation of children are going to have a greater burden placed on them by society than in any other time in history and support will be needed for many.

Ben Williams
Ran the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours and 50 minutes, slightly slower than Cameron completed it. Ben was inspired by Cameron admirably signing up to run the marathon to help make a difference for those struggling with their mental health. Running in his memory, in the hope of helping others and continuing Cameron's goal was a key motivation that helped him complete the 26 mile course.
-
Adi Hodzic
Completed the coast-to-coast Panama “Rat Race”. 100 miles on foot (through some of the densest jungle on the planet) and 25 miles on a pack raft to leave the area. Even for a man that’s walked the Namibian desert, 100 miles of a frozen Mongolian lake and competed in UK’s ironman, this was one of the toughest challenges he has ever undertaken.
-
Ravi Majithia
Ran the Copenhagen marathon. Ran his first marathon not only as a personal challenge but as an opportunity to raise money for the charity.
-
Nick & Hamish Smart
Ran the London Marathon 2023. In Nick's Case 40 years (& 2 hours slower) than the same marathon 40 years earlier. This was a particularly important challenge for Hamish and Nick as Cameron himself was registered to run the Marathon to raise money for those suffering with their mental health in 2023.
-
Immi Till
Ran the Hampton Court Half Marathon. Took on this challenge in memory of a good friend who was lost to suicide.
-
Ruby & Chloe
Ran Brighton Half Marathon. As well as raising an amazing amount of money themselves, the total was kindly matched by Mint Velvet.
-
Robin Davis
Completed the London Marathon. Ran for Mind in 2023 in memory of Cameron, looking to contribute to Cameron's mission of making a difference in the world of mental health. Despite having vowed "never again", Robin recived a ballot place for the London Marathon 2024 and saw no better opportunity than to support Cameron's Companions and highlight the importance of providing support for those in need.
-
Lulu Smart & friends
Lulu, Olivia, Ella and Jess ran the Hampton Court Half Marathon. Ran in memory of Lulu's brother Cameron.
-
Freddie Smart
Freddie and his school community took part in a sports challenge. During Fit4Life week each child took on a physical challenge to learn a new skill and was sponsored for doing so. The charity was also able to go into the school to talk about the work it does.
-
Tim Bennett
Walked 100km of the Camino de Santiago. A particuarly huge challenge given the awful weather! As well as this walk along the ancient pilgrim routes, he walked a 37km warm up walk from Norwich to Walsingham.
-
Cameron's Companions Supporters
Took on a hike of the Seven Sisters. Wearing daffodil hats and Cameron's Companions t-shirts the challenge also raised lots of awareness from locals walking.
-
Ella Baish and Lulu Smart
Ran the London Marathon to continue their efforts to raise money for those battling with their mental health.
-
Farran Keenan
Farran completed Richmond Park Half Marathon in an impressive 2 hours. It was very hilly with lots of deer, but great fun!
-
Charlie, Ali, Harry and friends
Organised a huge netball and football tournament to support mental health. They split their enormous fundraising between Cameron’s Companions and Mind.
